It's operating at 2666MHz with correct timing, but using just one 16GB module as a single channel is significantly worse than having dual channels. If the device supports two slots, it's best to use both modules.

Is the previous 8gb ram identical to this 16gb? If yes, place it in slot2. Otherwise, either return the current ram if possible or purchase another that matches the model, specifications, timing, and rank.

Initially I attempted to search for an 8gb module, but couldn't locate the same model.
I have already submitted a return request for the current module.
Therefore, the most suitable choice would be to obtain a dual channel kit, such as 2x8gb at 2666mhz, which should provide better performance.

That is what my asus a17 fa707rm looks like after upgrading to these yesterday. So, no way to be able to adjust the clocking if that's what it looks like? What is causing it to look like that, the ram or the board?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BLTDRRLF?ref...asin_title
(note, pretty sure it didn't have AI Tweaker before but I never tried to overclock it before). Says it's running at 4800.
