Many producers cancel the warranty when you alter any parts. That’s the most sensible guidance I can offer if they aim to keep that warranty valid for that item. You could replace the PSU and retain the original one, swapping it out only when necessary. However, most individuals won’t remember making such a change, ship it in, and then have their claim rejected because the components aren’t genuine. I understand your perspective, and things would be different in a private transaction, but this isn’t the situation here. Additionally, the PSU isn’t listed among the avoid items—there are only two on that list, one of which is C tier and the other is avoid. Neither matches the model you have. It’s puzzling how little information exists about this PSU.

A faulty power supply can definitely lead to hardware issues, sometimes in an impressive way. Helper800 has highlighted this, and if the installer can replace it with a better model for a modest extra cost, that would be beneficial. Otherwise, it comes with a two-year warranty they should keep, allowing you to either replace it yourself during the warranty or when it's no longer needed.

I thought I might have spotted it as an F tier on the cultist list but couldn’t find any review, let alone a positive one. It looks like it’s a decent PSU, though I don’t know much about their RMA process or whether they fulfill their warranty promises.

I don't really see why the 5070 Ti is bad. It is basically a 4070 Ti Super, with faster memory. It nearly performs as well as a 4080 (non-super). The 5070 more closely resembles the 4070 Ti/ 4070 Super.
They aren't bad cards, just bad prices at the moment. Which is why I would not aim for a 5090.
5070 Ti is just about justifiable if you want a 'lower' power card, at MSRP, at going prices, not so much. 9070 XT is a strong contender but also hard to track down.
5070 is only worth it at MSRP, which isn't a thing, and if you can't find a 4070 Super anywhere.
Subtle advantage in newer DLSS4 and multi-frame gen. With transformer DLSS being somewhat worth it and multi-frame gen only good for some single player games.

i mostly play single-player games these days or sometimes in co-op. multi-frame generation looks good but frame generation needs more vram. isn't the 5090 the only card that can turn on mfg easily? the 5070 is around 1300$, the 4070 about 1000$, the 4090 about 2000$, and the 5090 about 4300$ (probably less with this build).

Make sure you don't purchase them now, hold off until the market stabilizes and supply begins to settle.

Given the increasing tariffs, it seems unlikely they'll be implemented soon.
