I attempted to adjust the boot times by about a second on just one of them. I tried both drives separately, and the boot times remained consistent ±1 second. The 36th boot time stayed unchanged after connecting both SSDs.

If the issue resolves, disconnect the SSD and try one at a time.

When the older drive is removed, the boot time becomes quicker. I don’t want to abandon it even though I could do without it. Are there ways to enhance its boot performance, or should I simply replace it?

Confirm if it's the drive unit rather than a cable, connection, or port on the motherboard.

Checked the details of the two 860 evo SSDs; the one that runs slower does have distinct differences in performance, files, health, and blank status. Also, I verified if the BIOS is current.

How often do you turn off your computer?
Personally - I don't mind much, as long as the boot time isn't more than 30 seconds or less.
My PC might restart a few times each month.

It might be possible but I’m unsure why a separate drive with only games would influence the boot times. The first one, purchased in 2019, had my original operating system until I upgraded this week and wiped it clean using diskpart. The second was bought in 2022 and has always functioned as a game storage drive. I shut down my PC every night, and people have suggested it’s better to keep the system off or in sleep mode. The main concern isn’t the time itself, but why this issue arises. If it can be fixed without major changes, it would be great, but I’m okay with a 30-second boot. This has been my setup for the past couple of years.
