It's possible he was thrown into a vacuum, so it doesn't matter.

The majority of the content in the video, except for planetary landings, is available to play in the alpha version for supporters of the project. Planets will be added by the end of 2016. The release timeline for the single-player campaign "Squadron 42" and the MMO beta is expected around the first half of 2017.

The most recent time you interacted with the alpha is not specified, but the presentation video covers existing content beyond just planetary topics. The subforum members are currently engaged in their weekly discussion sessions.

I’m willing to be shown the wrong way if needed, but I feel you’re being too optimistic about the MMO Beta. My estimate leans toward late 2017 to early 2018. The challenge comes from the game’s rapid development pace, yet CIG has done a solid job fixing bugs and delaying features until they’re stable. This approach is commendable—it made the Alpha phase much smoother. Still, I expect a few unexpected issues to emerge given the MMO’s complexity. Overall, I believe SQ42 will launch as planned.

I understand you're in agreement with the optimistic outlook. It appears to reflect the present direction plan.
