Vsync
Vsync
Do you typically rely on Vsync for smoother gameplay? I've tried it across various titles, often achieving high frame rates around 60 FPS and maintaining stability. However, in certain games such as Total War, a locked frame rate is essential, and tearing isn't a major issue for me. Do you usually balance visual quality with performance? With a 144Hz display, I sometimes need to lower settings to hit the required frame rate, though the extra responsiveness can be beneficial in competitive scenarios like Battlefield 4 or Hardline, where keeping a steady 60 FPS is crucial. Call of Duty also stands out as it rarely exceeds 90 FPS. What are your thoughts?
This app never runs on my end. It causes frustrating delays in games.
I always use it regardless of performance or quality; I’m sure with a 144Hz display I’d prioritize 144FPS, since I don’t rely on Vsync. I’ve noticed my monitor can refresh quicker than the stated rate—like running Minecraft (1.7) at 1300FPS and seeing lag when it drops to 1000FPS—not screen tearing but real delay. Some games cap at 30 or 60 FPS (see link provided).
You adjusted your settings to achieve 50 frames per second or lowered them to reach 70 for better performance.
I rely heavily on VSync everywhere. I don’t tolerate even a tiny chance of tearing, and I’ve never felt any input delay that others claim is common.
