It's possible that these high-VRAM titles stem from console limitations. Adjusting textures might make a difference. Back then, people thought 2GB was enough for 1080p. I'm not sure if I'm right, but it seems like the real issue is personal preference and setting choices. If you had a proper 4GB card in the past, you'd probably be okay. However, with current games needing just over 3.5GB, it might still be tight. Ultimately, it depends on what you're comfortable with.
