yes, it seems compatible with both htc vive and oculus rift. it would be reasonable to assume you can use the rift as it is still a rift device.

Great, looks like I'll have a rift tomorrow, thanks. I'll have to disconnect my monitor since I'm currently using an XFX 390X and only have one display port available. I probably won't be able to use a splitter.

Does your display accommodate HDMI as well? You might consider changing your monitor's output to HDMI or using an active adapter that converts from HDMI to DisplayPort, especially when you need to run both the Rift and the monitor together, as constantly plugging and unplugging becomes inconvenient.

I own the original Oculus and recently tried the Rift S. The tracking on the S works well, the lenses are noticeably improved, and the "screen door effect" is less noticeable thanks to a different subpixel arrangement. The S also fits eyeglasses more comfortably, and the headband design gives a better balance. However, the original Oculus still offers significantly better built-in speakers.
