I'm interested in entering VR gaming, focusing on beat saber and VRchat. I don't want to spend a thousand dollars for a Vive Pro, as it's a bit over my budget, and the Oculus Rift S is affordable enough for me. I'm curious about how the Oculus Rift S compares to the original Vive in terms of tracking quality—does it work well or has the tracking issues? Since I haven't used a VR headset before, I won't be biased toward either option.

I receive payment on Tuesdays and want to start playing with my friends on VRchat as soon as possible.

Valve index stands as the new $1,000 champion, worth checking out since the reviews seem to adore it.

I own the RIft S and really enjoy it. There are no tracking problems.

only the usb and displayport cable are used, and the tracking is completed without mounting any sensors on the wall.

The sensors are integrated into the headset, eliminating the need for external devices or lighting. The only connections required are the USB and Display port cables.

oh awesome, if there  is no problem with the tracking i could just get the rift s then unless something is on sale for about 500. i really have no comparison between the rift s and anything else, so it isn't like i am used to something else that might throw me off. Does the oculus have it's own store or can i use steamvr?

It has its own store and is also compatible with nearly the entire Steam VR library.

I've played Beat Saber on SteamVR and it functions perfectly. I can't verify compatibility with the Doctor Who game. Typically, most titles display their compatibility on the Steam page for the Oculus Rift.
