Hello. The voltage of 1.200 volts is suitable for your i5 4690k. Your current temperatures—about 35°C when idle and 85°C under full load—seem manageable. Thanks!

I could have lost some of the paste due to my hand slipping while applying it. Reapplying thermal paste might be necessary.

The voltage works well at 4.4Ghz but struggles at 85°C on a H100i. I noticed a peak of 73°C at 4.5Ghz using 1.2V with a Hyper 212. Did the cooler sit properly? What amount of paste did you apply?

It seems you may have dropped some paste during installation. Would it be better to reapply thermal paste?

ChilledNeon:
Thanks! Just got a fresh pack of thermal paste—I’m hoping it helps keep things cooler. Good luck, and feel free to reach out when you’re ready.

Clearly a thermal paste issue. I'm operating at 4690K, 4.5Ghz, 1.23vcore with an H105 that can handle up to 55-60C. I understand the H105 is superior to the H100i, but not by much. Once the right thermal paste arrives, performance should improve by about 20C or more.

Through several attempts and adjustments with the thermal paste, I think I've resolved the issue. The CPU temperature stabilized at 35°C during the Prime95 test, reaching a peak of 92°C before dropping to low 60°C afterward. Those 90°C readings didn't reappear. Thanks for your help and advice!

Which Prime95 version are you using? 26.6 seems to be the optimal choice.
