Sergeant_Sneaky shared his findings after several attempts with thermal paste. He noted the CPU temperature stabilized at 35°C during Prime95, reaching a peak of 92°C before dropping to low 60°C afterward. He mentioned the high 90°C readings never returned. He asked about the Prime95 version in use and confirmed it was 26.6, planning to re-download for results.

After several attempts with the thermal paste, I think I've resolved the issue. The CPU temperature stabilized at 35°C during the prime95 test, reaching a peak of 92°C before dropping to low 60°C afterward. The high 90°C readings never returned. Thanks for your help and suggestions!
Which Prime95 version are you using? 26.6 is the recommended one.
I'm not sure, so I'll re-download it and share the results.
If you open Prime95 and click "Help", then "About Prime95..." it will display the version you have.

After a few trials and errors with the thermal paste I believe that I have solved the problem. Idle the cpu is 35C while under prime95 the highest temp it went was 92C and after that test dropped to the low 60C. I don't know why this happened but those 90C temps did not show up again. Thanks for all of your answers and suggestion!
Which version of Prime95 are you using? 26.6 is the best one to use.
I have no idea. I'll re-download it and give you guys the results.
If you open Prime95 and click "Help", then "About Prime95..." it will show you which version you have.
Thank you. After testing it again my cpu has not even gone up to the high 60s under 100% load! Thanks!

After several attempts with thermal paste, I think I've fixed the issue. The CPU temperature stayed at 35°C during Prime95, reaching a peak of 92°C before dropping to low 60°C afterward. Those high 90°C readings didn't reappear. Appreciate your help and suggestions!
Which Prime95 version are you using? 26.6 seems optimal.
I'm not sure, but I'll reinstall it and share the results.
Open Prime95, click "Help", then "About Prime95..." to see your version.
Thanks! After another test, my CPU didn't exceed 60°C under full load! Thanks!
I'm glad it's resolved
Defiantly facing a thermal paste issue. I'm operating at 4690K with 4.5Ghz at 1.23 vcore using an H105, which should stay under 55-60C. I understand the H105 is superior to the H100i, though not significantly so. Once the right thermal paste arrives, temperatures should drop by about 20C or more. What's your ambient temperature?
