Scroll down and check out the latest update for Star Citizen Patch v2.2.0 Alpha 2.2.0. This release brings our new flyable Sabre, the ready-to-hangar Khartu-al, updated Hostility, Monitored Zone, and Bounty features, plus refined FPS animations, fresh weaponry, and many bug fixes. During testing, PTU access is limited to a select group of players who will be expanded later. We’ve also raised the player cap per instance from 16 to 24 on PTU to collect performance data. Your launcher should display “2.2.0-323338” as the client version. It’s advised to clear your USER folder in the Public client after patching, especially if you notice strange graphics or crashes. The USER folder is typically located at C:\Program Files\Cloud Imperium Games\StarCitizen\Public. The usual inquiry arises about the time needed for publication to go live.
Great news! There are no reported server-side FPS problems at the moment.
They’ve got tasks related to the PTU, and I hope it’s not too extensive—I’m aiming to give it a go.
PTU 2.2.0a is now available, with the full Star Citizen Patch 2.2.0a released for testing. At this stage, access is limited to a select group of players, which we plan to broaden later. We’ve also raised the instance limit for Crusader from 16 to 24 on PTU to collect performance metrics. Your launcher should display “2.2.0-323743” as the client version. It’s advised to remove your USER folder in the Public client after patching, especially if you notice strange graphics or crashes. The default installation path for the USER folder is C:\Program Files\Cloud Imperium Games\StarCitizen\Public. Key concerns include: visual distortions around major stations due to red-gold lighting, certain weapons not granting rewards for specific targets, performance problems with the Holotable in Revel & York hangar, persistent lag when returning to ships with realistic physics, and several UI/UX glitches such as unresponsive clients or confusing menus.
Game improvements cover lighting balance, ship design enhancements, quest text fixes, and better AI behavior. Technical updates also resolved crashes and improved server stability.
It looks like you're seeing improved FPS in PTU despite the current lag, likely due to new features and a larger player count. I hope the performance issues are resolved soon so it can be released quickly.
