I recently bought a new headset, but now whenever I play YouTube or Spotify, everyone on Discord can hear clearly, as if they were using their own headsets. It sounds like the audio is bleeding into the mic, and my headset just plays everything through Discord without distortion. I’ve looked up the issue and found it seems to affect a few users, though I couldn’t locate a solution after checking sound settings, stereo mix options, and Discord’s configuration. I’ve spent hours trying everything without success.
Searching for solutions online hasn't pinpointed this issue as unique to your headset, yet HyperX models frequently appear in discussions about similar problems.
I haven't used any other voice programs, which makes me uncertain.
I should also note that I’ve been using a low-cost external sound card, and it performs similarly whether or not it’s connected.
You removed your external sound card and are having trouble getting your microphone to function on Discord. You have the standard 3.5mm jacks available on your PC.
The audio playback issue appears resolved, but now I need to yell into my microphone for it to recognize my voice, and even then it’s only catching it weakly. I’ve tried adjusting voice enhancement in Microsoft settings and Discord Sens, but nothing helps. It seems the mic isn’t picking up my voice effectively, which might not be a fix.
