Hello, I've chosen to purchase a CPU from the used market because it's significantly more affordable than buying a new one. I found these CPUs at a reasonable price but had trouble picking the best one for me. I'm looking for improved single-core performance as well. The workloads will mainly use the CPU models Primere Pro, Photoshop, Media Encoder, and a few single-player AAA FPS games such as Far Cry 5 and Metro Exodus.

It's a 6-core/12-thread CPU. Pure 6-core i5 models often struggle with performance because they lack sufficient threads, especially when multitasking beyond just the game.

1600AF performs well at times and can be slightly lower at other times compared to the i5-8600; most games won’t show a significant gap either way. 1600AE is quite poor—avoid it. Its IPC is far inferior to both, and in 2021 you shouldn’t invest in anything with Haswell-level performance. From my perspective, Ryzen chips often excel in single-core tests but don’t match their real-world results.
