Thanks for the tip from @Blue4130. I looked into other memory-heavy processes and mostly found service hosts or similar issues. I checked the solution on Microsoft's forum and tried updating my PC, which helped. My cousin also shared a similar idea: updating Windows usually resolves the lag after some time.
