Urgent! - Motherboard capacitors damaged during delivery
I adjusted the USB connectors and took off the caps. The solder on my motherboard resisted melting. At 450°C with a bit more solder, I managed to remove the caps. But I couldn’t fully clear the holes, so I’ll test it without new caps first. Also, I didn’t purchase fresh flux cleaner, so I’m hoping it stays put for a day or two.
I reassembled everything and the computer won’t turn on at all, as if there’s no power. Could it be that the PC won’t start without those specific steps? Apart from those caps and headers, nothing seems damaged. Might the PSU have failed during the transfer? I accidentally changed the power switch and reset button, but now it works perfectly.
