Possibly but with the small difference in MHz vs timings, you'll be fine with a set that has specs around CL14 or so. The difference isn't that great so a set like the G. Skill Flares I linked earlier would be fine and best of all, a set like that could go tighter - No guarantees but it's possible. Whatever has the quality, specs and is cheap is what to get if you can - Just make sure it's not some random, off the wall shit-sticks by name and brand. BTW stay the hell away from Corsair RAM with Gen 1 Ryzen - You've been warned.
As someone with vengeance on Zen+, yes. Tightest STABLE timings I've gotten is 2866 1.37v, 16-18-18-36. You MAY be able to get 2933 on Zen/Zen+ but it relies heavily on the mem controller and the mobo BIOS
Rarely do I hear about smooth performance with Corsair Vengeance sticks while using Ryzen together. Most discussions here suggest ignoring such issues outright. The safest choice is to avoid Corsair sticks altogether, especially the Vengeance series.
It has been several weeks, so I decided to update my status. Following the BIOS upgrade, the board turned on smoothly and activated XMP/DOCP. It’s running 3200 CL16 Crucial Ballistix RGB without any problems or instability so far. Thanks to everyone who offered guidance.
