Hello! I'm exploring an upgrade from the 13700k to an AM5 processor. Are there any AM5 models that match its performance level? Also, what motherboards have a 2-digit LED display and would you recommend any?

9800X3D? That issue coming up again, huh? (Well, it’s not really that big of a deal, right?) Actually, with Ryzen it’s usually about the RAM.

Why the question mark? haha no comment AM5 is known for RAM issues? How bad is it? I might just downgrade to the 12th gen and just avoid anything new

We should accept that AM5 is the straightforward choice. The rest either doesn’t improve things much or are overpriced. Ryzen is well-known for delivering solid performance on its platform. Just avoid chasing "fast" RAM unless it actually boosts speed noticeably—it won’t help much and could cause issues. Stick to the officially recommended options, like 5600 or similar. Don’t buy more than two memory sticks. Jdec RAM is another option but limits overclocking. It’s usually pricier and may not be compatible with your motherboard. At the end of the day, it’s the XMP/EXPO settings that often cause problems. Oh yeah, the last Intel generation I really like—great build! (Unclear if it’s still a good value right now lol)

The 9950x3d isn't suitable. I got it—5600 or 6000 is the ideal range. I didn’t expect to push higher speeds. For a motherboard, no specific suggestion came up.

The price at 6000 is quite steep since most users run into problems there... I'm not sure, I'm currently using a 5800x3D and don't see any immediate need to upgrade right now. However, something like the one mentioned on Amazon looks promising.

I've experienced no issues with any 6000MT/s kits or higher (downclocked to 6000) on my 9800X3D. I believe 6000MT/s is the ideal speed. No one has mentioned problems with 9800X3D running at 6000MT/s, honestly.

The 6000MT/s rate is considered optimal for AM5 and works well in practice. Keep an eye on CAS latency if you aim for peak performance; 6000MT/s CL30 offers excellent timing.

For cost savings, the 7800X3D offers better performance compared to the 13700k. If you're on a tighter budget, consider the newly released 7500X3D as well.
