I didn’t expect the performance improvement to be so significant, but I can afford to upgrade to a chip. Are they really that impressive based on the reviews? Every test used a 4090, yet my board only has a 3080Ti.

What game are you running? If it's 1080p, you're likely GPU-bound with a 3080Ti and might not get any extra frames on a faster card.
