RIP. 7700x performs well unless you're pushing the limits and only play MMOs, which gain from the extra L3 cache. My configuration using the 7950x3D versus the 7800x3D with an RTX 4090 is essentially a last resort since I hope AMD and Microsoft resolve any issues with the 3D optimizer driver. There are also firmware settings that favor certain options—usually I use 'prefer cache' but am trying 'prefer driver.' I’m not sure if others outside techpowerup have adjusted this setting.
