My computer isn’t great, and the only thing I really wanted to do was swap out my motherboard. I’ve watched lots of YouTube videos suggesting it’s not worth changing because you’ll have to reinstall Windows, files might get corrupted, and other claims don’t seem true. Alright, the model I’m thinking of is the ASRock B650M PRO RS WIFI. Is it really a good idea? If I’m being honest, maybe it’s because I’m not very experienced with PCs—I’m actually building my first one!

I don't have a current motherboard or CPU information. Could you provide those details?

I'm not sure about your request. Could you clarify what you mean by "change it"? Also, what kind of PC are you referring to?

Right now I'm using a budget A620M H with gigabyte storage and a Ryzen 7 8700G processor.

You anticipate the new motherboard offers improvements over your existing one in terms of performance, compatibility, or features.

I aim to add more fans for better performance. Also, I need extra RAM since my current motherboard can't handle the amount I'm planning.

What is the purpose of the PC? Why would you need more RAM than you currently have?

For looks? Since everything you have matters, fans won’t support you if they’re meant to repair something. That’s awesome, but keep in mind DDR5 RAM often struggles with four sticks on a motherboard—four DDR5 modules might not reach maximum speed.

I understand that extra memory might seem excessive, but turning 13 means I’ll love creating YouTube videos. Since I’m skilled at editing, having more RAM would help (I rely on Adobe).

You already have enough memory; just check your current amount.
