Meh, just beyond power consumption—keep in mind the 15W rating applies to a base clock of 1.6GHz, whereas the 4710 runs at 2.5GHz. I don’t trust UserBench much; it mostly shows average or mediocre numbers. For instance, the links you mentioned had results from some time ago. Maybe HWBOT’s longer-running benchmarks would be better, especially those that stay stable beyond 30 seconds. You’ll likely notice the 8265U is easily surpassed by a mobile CPU from over five years prior.

Typically, MP ratio stays below five for comparable clocks; at least 180cb for ST, likely higher. We can use SuperPi from HWBOT—a reputable single-threaded machine—to see how long each takes to finish. Size 8265U 4700MQ 1M 9.636 7.846 4700mq 23% faster 32M 572.638 433.774 4700mq 32% faster. For multi-threaded runs, the well-known wPrime bench with sizes of 32M and 1024M can be used again to compare completion times. Size 8265U 4700MQ 32M 6.064 5.131 4700mq 18% faster 1024M 271.675 163.316 4700mq 66% faster. Does the performance of the 8265U decline significantly on benches that run well over 30 seconds? Someone might verify this. If you need to optimize for sluggish results, the 8265U is clearly the better choice. For those prioritizing peak speed, efficiency becomes harder to achieve unfortunately.
