All things will be moved over. It’s essentially the same operating system. It’s not like version 7 or 8—just a more advanced version.

Sure thing... But one just got a PS4 and is super annoying while the other is just too lazy and doesn’t even bother with the virus stuff. Also, those friends still use Snapchat even though I told them about the 4chan leak, man—some people are really stubborn.

I'll just proceed with it. It's not something I enjoy doing, but I guess it's necessary. The idea of running 8 instead of 8.1 isn't clear to me, though maybe others prefer that pace in different situations.

Have you tried Start Is Back? It’s a useful tool, though it requires payment. Considering its features and ease of use, I was willing to spend for it.

When I upgraded on my notebook from 8 to 8.1 start is back transferred over without issues. Start is back supports both windows 8 and 8.1. There is no reason not to upgrade to windows 8.1, you should have done it tons of months ago!
