It didn’t function properly until recently. I ran Windows on the external drive, and it operated correctly. After restarting the computer, I reinstalled it again. When I turned it off and reinserted the original drives, I was back to square one. I made sure to boot from the updated Windows installation. What should I do next?

Disconnect the old storage device and confirm it starts up with the fresh installation.

I figured it out—your drive was shown twice, really. Thanks a ton, you’ve been super helpful. One more thing: after starting with a clean boot and turning off services in the settings, could you possibly adjust the configurations again and turn those services back on? I believe that might have been what led to the issue in the first place.

If you try to restart from the old disk in safe mode, it might not work well.
