I recommend keeping the 24GB RAM inside and using a lower speed setting, since it isn’t 3200MHz. This might not significantly impact performance based on your current tasks.

You're essentially suggesting you try both options—using one and not using it—to see which works better. It's about comparing similar GPUs from AMD and NVIDIA, expecting that more RAM and lower speed might suit your needs better than the other way around.

Mixing and matching RAM is fine. Computers from the Pentium II era were built to run at the speed of the slowest component, which was always the standard. If there’s an issue with AMD CPUs, they’ve clearly had significant problems—this platform is among the worst I’ve encountered. I’m sure of it.

No testing is required. Unless the OP is actively paging because they are regularly exceeding 16GB of RAM in use, the only test is whether 3200MHz is better than 2400MHz. Hint: it is.

Operating at around 2400MHz can pose significant difficulties based on the application, especially with Ryzen processors. The added complexity comes from the infinity fabric connection to memory clock speeds. If the differences between kits are substantial, simply lowering the clock might not suffice, potentially leading to POST failures across any platform.

If he discovers that lower clock speeds significantly impact performance compared to having extra RAM, then removing it could be a good idea—possibly selling it on eBay. But just like comparing AMD FX at 3GHz versus 5GHz, it doesn't change the fact that AMD FX is not great. It might actually make sense if his workload requires more memory and the performance gain outweighs the cost of slower speeds. We'll only know for sure once he tests it specifically for his needs.

There isn't a strong need for more RAM since 16GB at 3200 MHz is sufficient for my use. I was curious about using another setup just to check, though. Running 24GB would be ideal, but it's not essential if it doesn't work. I mainly play games like Final Fantasy XIV and Genshin Impact, and occasionally edit with Davinci Resolve 17. I don’t usually have over 300 tabs open in Chrome. Thanks for your assistance nonetheless.
