Your board isn't listed in the kitguru directory. Make sure you're using a BIOS compatible with your setup. Your motherboard doesn't include the non-K overclocking version yet. Check the recommended list here: As noted, your file ends with .A40 and the release date is outdated for such a release (launched by Asrock on December 15th). You can find more details in this article about compatible BIOS options.

And regarding real oc, which stable frequency are you affected with? I use just the flasher connected through a USB stick. Thanks ahead!

The issue arises from using an incorrect file type or version. There are sources indicating the E7984IMS.B5T is required, but you need the E7984IMS.A6T instead.
