This could be a joke question, but were you certain you purchased the identical RAM model? I mean exactly the same number. If there are even minor differences, the DHCP won't function properly due to things like varying CAS timings. A simple test would be to remove the new RAM, ensure DHCP is set in the BIOS, and then repeat whatever action triggered the problem. Also, the model number is typically listed on the device itself—check that box if you don’t see it. P.S. The model number matches on the box. However, upon closer inspection, one pair appears single-sided while another is double-sided. I could adjust everything myself, but I’m unsure what baseline I’m starting from.
