I've experimented with XMP both activated and disabled, but didn't observe any stability issues or bugs. It's possible the timing of adjusting XMP settings coincided with a system rebuild needed to resolve crashes. When I return to my PC, I'll test it again just in case. Edit: XMP was disabled, and I ran a benchmark on the beginning of the Hell on Earth level in DOOM Eternal, which reflects how I use my computer. It appears XMP has no noticeable effect. Windows used the "(none)" cursor style, which meant it couldn't retrieve icons properly, often pulling random elements and creating a distorted cursor. Likely, aging contributed to this issue, so I upgraded the motherboard and CPU. This note is kept for anyone facing similar problems later. Adjust the settings in Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Mouse to ensure a default scheme is selected.
