you're close (psu) but overall this situation requires a complete overhaul, including the software. it's well documented that certain components are highly unstable, and saying it "worked before" doesn't hold up now that a new GPU is integrated—it no longer functions properly. just my opinion (the situation is very clear to me).

Yeah, I know that particular case has a... toasty reputation. The only issue is, I really like it, there's no case like it and I'd like to keep using it. I could put the old GPU back but feels like that's a bit redundant at this point. Just gonna wait to get another PSU to test with. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

I understand your concern. Based on past experiences, I’m hesitant to trust this company for quality products. I only prioritize reliable parts that function properly, not relationships when sourcing components. Replacing the PSU might be sufficient, but I’m uncertain about the fixed riser cable—how accessible is it for replacement?

You highlighted a valid concern regarding the riser cable, which might be contributing to the problem. Checking it would need a complete disassembly, which I'll only do after eliminating PSU issues.

I've connected a friend's old PSU and the previous problems are resolved. I was still having some stuttering, so I turned off fTPM and "Security device support" in the BIOS, which helped. This appears to be an ongoing AMD issue they're still working on fixing. I still get occasional minor stutters, but the impact is minimal and doesn't bothers me much. It seems like a trade-off for good value. Thanks to everyone for your assistance. If anyone knows any solutions for the occasional micro-stuttering I mentioned, I'd love to try them while I wait for the NZXT support regarding the RMA. Cheers.

Hi, this is a follow-up on a previous thread about issues I've been having with my new RX 6700XT. Please read the previous thread for context, you can find it here: So, after using the computer for a few days, the issues persist. This is confusing as the new power supply seemed to fix it. However, after turning on my PC this morning the stuttering was back. Tried Heaven benchmark and the fps was very low. I did a few more restarts and with every restart the issues seemed to vary. Sometimes all was fine, other times using the PC felt fine but Heaven performance would be worse, but not terrible. I didn't manage to replicate the extremely poor performance I noticed the first time. The issue seemed to correlate with how much power the GPU was drawing. From reporting below 100W that first time, then jumping back to a normal 170ish watts after restart, then back to a slightly poorer 130ish after another restart. This was measured when I was running Heaven benchmark, a.k.a. under load. So despite all the troubleshooting and the new PSU seemingly fixing it I'm back to where I started. Strongly considering sending the GPU back but would like to avoid it if possible. Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you ensuring the newest BIOS is active on your board? Are you employing the most recent AMD chipset drivers from AMD’s site? Have you turned off MultiPlane Overlay MPO in Windows settings? How do your CPU temperatures behave when under stress? What are your Cinebench R23 and 3DMark Firestrike results? How does Hard Disk Sentinel evaluate your SSD performance?

It seems unrelated to a GPU problem. The issue might stem from faulty RAM. Have you attempted running the benchmark without XMP enabled?

In order. Yes, version 2803 from Asus. Yes, all AMD drivers are up to date. Yes, I used the regedit provided by Nvidia. After about 7 minutes of prime95 + heaven benchmark the package temp is sitting a bit below 70C Will report back with these scores soon. SSD performance 100%, Health 99%, Temp. about 40C, status is PERFECT. Short scan indicates no issues.

I haven't attempted that yet; I'll try again when I'm back home. This might actually make sense too. Often things work smoothly, but it seems the GPU isn't getting the chance to operate as intended.
