Unusual actions from the computer after installing the new graphics card.
I came home and started the PC. I noticed a lot of stuttering, so I restarted and checked the BIOS to see if I could disable XMP. After booting into Windows, the stuttering persisted, possibly even worse. I restarted again to turn XMP back on. While I was distracted and forgot to enter BIOS, the problem disappeared in Windows. In short, XMP didn’t help, but the issue was most severe when I booted from a completely shut-down state. Restarts after this usually help, though performance varies—sometimes smooth, sometimes with lower than expected frame rates. This is related to power consumption as discussed in the first post on this thread.
The test scores were recorded during a period when the PC operated smoothly.
