I probably misled people by suggesting the wrong approach. I was trying to find a solution when I realized I needed to connect to the router again. By adding that I can reach the laptop, I meant I have physical access. My name isn’t just a joke—I’m not sure how to explain these issues clearly, sorry.

I might have taken you on a misleading route here, because fixing the problem without direct access isn't feasible. I was looking for ideas when I could have waited until I had physical access. I should have delayed posting until then, but having my mom and sister nearby made it hard to focus properly. It wasn’t clear how to express my thoughts clearly with the right terms, which led to a lot of confusion. Sorry about that—I’m still getting the hang of this.

When you gain access to the router during your next visit, ensure you're connected via Wi-Fi or cable. Check the "ipconfig" section to identify the IP address listed for "Default gateway" (such as 10.0.0.1). This should correspond to the router's IP. You'll then be able to reach its admin panel using a web browser. Some routers restrict admin access only through Ethernet, which can typically be turned off in their security settings. If Wi-Fi doesn't work, try connecting via a wired connection.
