Hey everyone, yesterday while setting up my sister's Wi-Fi, I faced an issue: I couldn't reach the router admin page even when typing "192.168.0.1". Following the instructions carefully didn't help, and I looked at the FAQ in the guide but still couldn't resolve it. Important details: - The router was definitely getting internet (I confirmed by plugging the Ethernet cable directly into my laptop). - All three LEDs on the router were green. - I tried accessing the page via both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections. - Both Ethernet cables seemed functional. - I checked that both my laptop and router were on the same subnet, but I couldn't identify mine's subnet. - I don’t have physical access to the router, only to the laptop. - The router is a TP-Link TL-WR841N, and I confirmed it worked when I bought it for a project in February. I don't have access to that information. Could you clarify which router model you're referring to?

I'll include that in the main discussion thread as well.

Can you confirm if you’re able to connect to the router? It seems uncertain whether you’re facing an issue with logging in or simply reaching the admin interface.

I can access it via Wi-Fi (using the code on the router’s back), but reaching the login screen isn’t working. When I type "192.168.0.1" into the address bar, it shows no results and just displays a generic "no internet connecting" message.

Open command prompt, enter "ipconfig". Search for a line beginning with 192.168.xxx.xxx; it could show a valid IP address.

You can link to the WiFi, but you won’t be able to sign in to the router. Use 192.168.1.1 as the main IP address. Note: Many routers display the IP and default password on a label near the device.

Your current IP is still 10.0.0.15, but this doesn't affect your new network since it remains the same address. The change in network doesn't alter the IP itself.

192.168 is the starting point for connecting directly.
