Unable to locate advanced settings in BIOS for modifying new fan and GPU configurations.
I have a HP Omen obelisk with a 1660 Ti, and after upgrading, I now have
I7-9700 cpu
RX 7900 XT
2TB SSD
32GB RAM
Eboras motherboard
Now everything is moved into a new case: a Corsair 4000d airflow argb.
Previously there was just one exhaust fan in the old case, but now I have three intake and one exhaust fans.
Switching cases only gave me one fan header, so the exhaust fan is on the sys_fan header and the three new fans are on the lc_pump header.
Now all three fans run at full speed continuously.
I’ve watched videos and tried to adjust fans and GPU settings in the BIOS, but I couldn’t find any advanced options.
How can I unlock advanced settings or another way to change these?
OEM motherboards aren't usually built to handle environments outside their chassis. The pump header is often 100% designed for its intended use. You might consider adding a physical voltage control to the fans. Software options like SpeedFan could be tried, though results may be limited. If the header isn't PWM or voltage-controlled, it may not function effectively.
There really isn't any unlocking in a BIOS, it comes as designed.
If you got a fan splitter with supplemental power, sure, but I wouldn't plug 4 fans into a single header generally.
Thank you for your message. If you're not able to access advanced settings, there might be alternative ways to verify the new GPU configuration, though it could depend on the available options.
Configuring a GPU through the BIOS isn't possible. They operate independently with their own vBIOS, lacking a user interface and not designed for general use.
Many users rely on software to manage GPU settings, with MSI Afterburner being the most popular choice.
Changing or updating the vBIOS is typically reserved for advanced overclocking enthusiasts.
Additionally, I attempted to include the three fans in the sys_fan header because they have that configuration, while the 1 exhaust is assigned to the l_pump header. When I powered on the PC, a message appeared indicating a fan isn’t working correctly and preventing it from starting.
