I recently purchased a new monitor, the AOC CQ27G2 27" WQHD 144Hz HDMI DP FreeSync Curved LED Gaming Monitor. With the updated resolution of 2560x1440 at 144Hz, I struggle to maintain 60fps in games like FF14 or Skyrim without reverting to a lower resolution of 1920x1080.

The system configuration is as follows:
- Asus 1660 Super 6GB RAM
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-core processor
- ASRock X570 Pro4 ATX AM4 motherboard
- G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB DDR4-3600 memory
- Corsair CXM 550W power supply
- CPU temperature around 55°C
- GPU temperature around 60°C

What game configurations should I use? Record GPU activity with MSIAfterburner instead of the task manager. Is the GPU near 100% and what is its temperature? At 1440p I’m not worried about a 2060S or those high FPS numbers in certain titles, but I understand my 2080 Super might hit around 80-90fps or lower at 1440p if I boost settings to high/ultra. For an average of 120fps at 1440p, I mainly stick to medium settings on a GPU that’s about 50% more powerful in that resolution.

this gpu isn't experiencing problems with this monitor or the resolution, which means it's not a particularly useful response.

The monitor is linked through DP, and in FF14 it operates with DirectX 11, achieving a maximum of approximately 40-45 FPS when all settings are optimized.

The question about what FPS you get by lowering the settings is unclear. Could you clarify if you meant something else, such as how FPS changes with different settings in a specific context?
