I don't understand the situation. Usually I could push Windows 10 updates to day one, but this isn't happening now. I need advice on how to quickly obtain the Fall Creators Update without switching to Release Preview afterward. Thanks.

Previously, the insider build list showed the latest version of the creator's update, though it seems that update isn't showing up this time. The installation still kept you in the public release zone, but something must have changed. Disappointing. Or maybe it will appear tomorrow.

Online users feel free to share any information. They might even assert they found dog pop on the moon and people will accept it. A couple of days later, after the official announcement, they attempt again.

It's been tested in Release Preview for several days, which means it should be available in the official release. The preview is currently on the Build 16299 line, so any major issues would prevent it from being released unless they are critical.

Running the ISO would perform an upgrade similar to what the assistant did, without requiring you to join the insider program. This was exactly how it worked for the Creator update. You could test it on a spare machine right away and let me know your thoughts.

It's being launched gradually. You may have to wait a bit more if there are compatibility problems with your device, and a solution or driver update will be required.

It wouldn’t be surprising if this was just another paper release. These tech firms seem to be pushing forward rapidly, releasing what appears to be the newest and most impressive versions as quickly as possible—even when they’re not fully prepared. It looks like they might have launched it only to a small test group because they didn’t have time for alpha testing. Clearly, there’s little else to do but wait a few more days. I’m planning to check my Windows again on the weekend.
