I understand. After checking online, several solutions are available for this issue (driver-related). I can't test which one works best, but I recommend starting with the easiest method described here: https://www.amirottyet.com/post/how-to-g...ork-after/. Typically, you should try installing the drivers from the repositories using apt first, and if that doesn’t work, look for a suitable driver and install it manually. The steps seem simple, but feel free to let me know if you encounter any difficulties.

Compton was known as a compositor. For more details, check the article here: https://passthroughpo.st/linux-desktop-c...tionality/

Hi, another update. I was not able to amend my wifi connection. I tried, as the website suggested and also through other instruction websites, to "fix" the wifi problem with my Broadcom chipset. I think these guides are there to install wifi drivers in order for the computer to recognize the chip within the macbook or enable the macbook to use the chip. This, as I found out, is not my problem. The software recognizes and lets me use my wifi chip, but the the issue occurs when I try to connect to my network. I will try and connect it to a different network, but again when I access my network with Osx it runs fine. If anyone has any suggestion on how to proceed please don't hesitate to reach out, I'm almost at the end of my wits.

I can't execute the script directly, but I can guide you through running it with an Ethernet connection and sharing the generated file. Follow the steps in your terminal as described. If you encounter any issues, let me know!

Attempted to reset or clear the WiFi connection. Recommends updating to version 21.04, which could resolve the problem. Did not note to verify the presence of `bcmwl-kernel-source`.

Hi, you mentioned a specific part of your setup but didn’t want to share everything. I noticed you found an old ThinkPad T61 and installed Linux Mint on it. That could explain the authentication issue you’re seeing. It might be related to your network settings.

Yessir, those were actually the first methods I tried, but they unfortunately did not work out.

Consider checking the keyboard configuration. Open a text editor and input the password to verify proper entry.

Confirmed, it follows the typical American design and works perfectly.

Have you attempted linking to another network? Maybe set up a mobile hotspot on your device and connect there.
