I own a B550 Plus with TUF that advertises AI overclocking, but no official confirmation from Asus appears anywhere. The BIOS doesn’t display the claimed AI OC feature, yet the setting is visible in the BIOS. Following the instructions doesn’t trigger any changes. I also used the AI suite overclocking option, which differs from what the sites describe. Right now, during a stress test in Prime95, the task manager shows 100% CPU usage across all cores at around 4.18-4.2 GHz, matching idle performance, and temperatures stay between 40-50°C. It feels like something should be happening but isn’t increasing beyond base speed for an overclock. I’ve enabled Asus Performance Enhancement and the OC tuner, but results remain unchanged.
Begin by enabling XMP for your RAM, which is currently running at 2400MHz. Adjust the DRAM frequency to double that value—the quickest method. Next, activate the Precision Boost Override 2.0; this typically forces CPUs up to around 70°C and can push some R5000 series chips beyond 5GHz.

Which component? XMP can "boost" RAM to its rated speed. AMD controls memory usage for the CPU through pricing overrides. This exceeds the standard frequency. If your RAM is under 3200MHz, you should upgrade—Ryzen chips run much better with fast memory.
I removed the RAM and checked the BIOS settings for easier access. There’s no indication of DRAM frequency—just voltage levels. I spotted Precision Boost, but many other options are present as well.
