Trying to overclock my 5600X
I tried the steps shown in the video, but my maximum clock stayed unchanged and my multicore Cinebench score dropped from 11564 to 10717 while the CPU remained at 62°C. I’m unsure if this change is due to measurement error since I haven’t used Cinebench before. I didn’t verify my previous power consumption, which was around 61 watts now. It doesn’t appear anything significant happened. Then I ran a single-core test and it’s currently using the second fastest core according to Ryzen Master, capped around 4.2, but mostly at about 3.5. I’m not sure why the boost isn’t activating properly.
In the AMD Advanced Overclocking area, skip AI Tweaker. Set boost to 200 PPT, TDC to 140, EDC to 180. Apply +200 boost, use Curve Optimizer for all cores, and set -30. Avoid modifying any other CPU settings. Turn on Asus Performance Enhancement. Save and close. Remove Ryzen Master installation. You don't require it in this path.
I turned off the AI tweaker so it won’t activate during startup. I used it just for fan adjustments because configuring the speed fan is tricky, but it could be interfering with my CPU settings.
I don't rely on Windows for overclocking or adjusting fan speeds; I depend solely on the BIOS.
