Hello. I have been experiencing low frame rates in CSGO, averaging 120-200, and difficulty maintaining above 200fps. I am unsure of the cause, despite setting my GPU power management to maximum, with no improvement observed.
Specifications:
i7 7700k
16gb ram 2133
msi gtx 1070 gaming 8g
asus strix z270f gaming

Perhaps the CSGO settings have automatically enabled configurations that hinder performance, or the game has imposed a frame rate limit.

Confirm that all your drivers are current, as outdated drivers are a common cause of problems and updates are easily applied.

Has this been a consistent issue with this hardware, or has it recently begun? If it’s new, what frame rate were you experiencing before this started occurring?

I recently began playing and was previously running CSGO at maximum settings with a stable frame rate of 250, but it has inexplicably stopped.

Does thermal throttling or under-clocking occur automatically? Could memory impact system performance?

Temperatures are stable, averaging 27-30 degrees Celsius at idle and peaking in the mid-60s under load. I recently installed a new NZXT X52 and enabled XMP in the BIOS to assess performance.

Perhaps the CSGO settings have automatically enabled configurations that make the game more demanding, or the game has imposed a frame rate limit.

Setting fps_max to 0 at startup does not improve performance.
