I understand the focus is on the CPU rather than the board. Higher frequency settings should appear in the BIOS menu.

It looks like you need to verify that 3000 is the optimal configuration. If you're open to adjusting the timing, gradually reducing the frequency will help enhance stability.

Sure, I'll try up to 3200. It seems like the board can handle it and the CPU should be okay too. I'm not very confident about this, but there must be a good reason.

It’s the third generation, but you updated your BIOS—does that raise the memory capacity on the board? You purchased it as a second-generation compatible model.

AMD initially mentioned 2666MHz for four dual-rank (double-sided) modules—assuming 64GB with 16GB sticks, since 32GB sticks weren’t available for non-REG DDR4—and 2933MHz for two single-rank sticks. Going beyond those speeds is seen as an overclock and such modifications aren’t assured. You can't really repair a hardware problem like the CPU’s memory controller.
