Transitioning to Windows PRO involves upgrading your system for enhanced features and performance.
I recently set up a new home computer for work and installed Windows Home using an ISO file without a license. My company gave me a Windows Pro license. When I enter the key, I receive this message: "The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (0xc004f050)." My admin advised upgrading from Home to Pro for the key to function. I attempted to obtain a generic Windows Pro key to upgrade the OS, but now face this error: "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you do have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below. (0x803fa067)." Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Create a fresh bootable USB and install the Pro version instead.
Setting up the home and using a Pro key for an upgrade seems to function properly, based on my experience, though I’ve encountered cases where the key might not work anymore.
