The board isn't compatible with an Intel CPU, and based on what I've heard, Intel chips tend to perform better at higher frame rates.
it wouldn't make much difference for you, a locked chip on an OC board is just fine, yes, but not too much in F1 2019 1440p. your 3600 should work just okay without the H100i, as long as you have a decent cooler on it. even stock cooling should be sufficient, honestly.
The CPU isn't going to assist much here, the 3600 is okay. What board are you using now? And please wait for Zen 3.
Did you adjust the cooler properly? A 3600 shouldn’t overheat on a stock cooler unless it’s not installed correctly, there’s no paste applied, airflow is weak, or the TIM is cracked.
Due to the pandemic, nothing can be returned and everything is a final sale. I'm left with the Corsair cooler and case now.
Test with panels visible, check if temperatures rise in the isolated case. You can save it for the next iteration or keep it as a result.
