Transformed your original Xbox into a Steam streaming device within your home setup.
Today I experimented with an old Xbox that runs Linux. Then I moved on to another project using Steam on a streaming box, thinking it would be simpler if consoles had a Steam client. I realized Linux supports a Steam client and with the right cable, the original Xbox could display 720p. I haven't tried it yet and just wanted to see what others thought.
If the original Xbox can handle it, it seems like a great concept! 720p isn't that impressive.
The original Xbox likely lacks the necessary decoders for seamless streaming.
I own seven Xbox consoles all using XBMC, but one runs Linux and is accessed via the dashboard. It's running very outdated. If Steam were installed, the system would only have 64MB of RAM.
