I just completed my latest setup and installed everything required on the boot disk, including Windows and drivers. Once that was done, I revisited and added my two older NVMe SSDs along with the hard drive. Most of my games still show a need to install, even though they’re on those drives. I managed to get most Steam titles working so they appear installed on the NVMe, but the hard drive remains unresponsive. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I don’t want to re-download everything, especially since it’s already filling up the storage.
For all Steam titles it should simply involve redirecting Steam to the library directory on each storage drive; the game will appear and be recognized as installed. If it's a brand-new Windows setup, Steam will fetch the required system components for the initial start, but no actual game files are transferred.
In Steam it's located in Settings and Library, moving from memory. Once I get home I can verify if it's still there. Epic doesn't permit this. (I'll keep my thoughts about Epic private.) They claim there are some workarounds, but generally with Epic you're stuck and must reinstall everything. I haven't reinstalled anything from Steam before; I always keep it locally. It's certainly a useful feature.

You shouldn't have to rename or relocate anything. I just arrived back and verified. It wasn't a library—it was storage. Settings → Storage. Within storage, use the drop-down arrow to select "Add Drive." For instance, I added D:\SteamLibrary (my data drive and storage spot for all my SteamGames). I also switched this to the default installation folder. Now it should display all installed games in that directory below.
I've managed to get it working so all my games from the SSD are accessible. The hard drive still holds the games, but they're stored in a folder named "games" that contains files from both Steam and Epic Games. When I add storage on Steam, it adds the drive but doesn't recognize the games or data, showing no downloads. I've also tried setting that folder as the new drive, but it doesn't change anything.
The structure likely includes SteamAPPS, a library folder with VDF files, and Steam.dll files within it.
It includes a SteamApps directory along with various other Steam accounts that appear empty, while the SteamApps folder contains all the games and several additional subfolders.
Additionally, the game directory contains numerous standalone files such as .dll, though few of them include Steam references in their names.
