TPM stopped working during gameplay of valorant.
i was just playing valorant on my laptop and accidentally pressed the sleep button. when i tried to log in again with my fingerprint, it didn't work. checking the event viewer on windows 11 revealed something unusual. the device driver for the trusted platform module (tpm) hit a non-recoverable error in the tpm hardware, which stops tpm services like data encryption. for more assistance, please reach out to the computer manufacturer. event id: 14. i need to restart the laptop then it worked again.
what laptop make and model are you using? i was thinking about updating the chipset drivers, maybe that would help. tpm is in the cpu, so updating drivers could be sufficient.
I own a Acer Swift X laptop equipped with a Ryzen 5 5600u processor.
There are several Swift X available, and identifying the one you're referring to often depends on screen sizes. You might need to consult the source listed: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AU/content/drivers
The driver page for the laptop appears incomplete, as I’m unsure about the current drivers available.
I plan to install chipset driver version 2.15.15.535, which might be relevant if the model is X570 and involves a driver named amdpsp.sys related to ftpm functionality.
It seems you might be interested in locating the event ID for the TPM notice to check further details.
BitLocker updates could also be beneficial.
The only solutions appear to be updating the windows updates or BIOS settings.
Check the system information app for details.
The BIOS version listed next to BIOS Version/Date is 1.04.
For Windows 11, you can open Start, select Run, type winver and press Enter.
The current version is 22000.795.
i have that version also i wanna ask there is my user name there but under there it's written org name is it supposed to be like that? also i have the newest bios version
do you mean in winver?
i have my name there but no org name? could be because it's a laptop. i am guessing.
so is the problem with tpm still happening?
