I was playing Valorant on my laptop when I hit the sleep button by mistake. Now, when I try to log in with my fingerprint, it won't work at all. When I looked into the Event Viewer on my Windows 11 computer, something weird popped up about a device driver for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). It says that a non-recoverable error happened inside the TPM hardware, which stops services like data encryption from working. For help, contact your computer manufacturer. The error code is 14. I had to restart my laptop and it started working again after that.

Which laptop do I want to check? I should probably update the chip driver. It could fix the TPM issue since that's inside the processor. Just updating those drivers might solve the whole problem for me.

There are a few Swift X models out there, but the SFX model comes before all of these others like 14-41G, 14-42G, 14-51G, and 16-51G. Would I be right in guessing that the difference is just screen sizes? You might need to check if you have a specific guide here: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AU/content/drivers

so here is the driver site for your laptop, but actually it only shows half because i dont know what drivers you already have. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AU/content/su...t/8933?b=1 i would download the chipset driver version 2.15.15.535 if its something like X570, there is a driver called amdpsp.sys that helps the ftpm work. it is probably part of the chipset driver pack. i think thats what you need. curious, what is the event id for the TPM notice? see if i can find it elsewhere. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/tr.../w...-error-log do you use bitlocker? updating windows might help

I'm not using BitLocker because Windows isn't getting updates and it comes with the right drivers already there. The Event ID is 14.

There doesn't seem to be a better way than just updating Windows or BIOS. Can you check what your system info says on the internet? I can tell you what version of BIOS it shows right under the CPU name, and that newest one is 1.04. But with Windows 11, the best number I see is 22000.795.

I already have this exact thing too. I want to check if you can find my username there, but the organization name is supposed to look a little different. Also, I got the latest BIOS update now.

Do you mean for Windows? My name shows up there, but not an organization name. Maybe it's just a laptop. Guessing that might be right. Is the TPM issue still going on?
