TP-Link Archer T9E fails to connect to the 5GHz network.
Hello there! I recently purchased a TP-Link Archer T9E WiFi card to connect my PC to my 5GHz network, but after installation it still manages to detect the 2.4GHz network while the 5GHz one remains invisible. I searched online for a solution but haven’t found a reliable fix yet. I’m wondering why the 5GHz network isn’t showing up, especially since all my devices—phones, laptops, Chromecast, Xbox, and more—can pick it up easily.
What motherboard and/or WiFi adapter do you have? (I might be having trouble reading.) Try positioning the PC near your access point as closely as possible. If it connects there, adjust the antenna on the adapter to check signal reception. Also, consider turning off other 5GHz devices to see if the connection improves.
What router is connected and can you navigate to its configuration? If you don’t use CMD, open Command Prompt, type ipconfig, then enter the Default Gateway in your browser (like Chrome or Firefox) to reach the router’s settings.
