I enjoy Malwerbytes. The free version isn't a steady protection plan, but it offers a thorough scan that you can use if you think you might have made a mistake.

I rely on Avast (free edition) alongside Adblock plus. No problems encountered.

I've never experienced any issues with Avast. It has performed well for me over the past four years.

Malwarebytes, avast, AVG—all seem to be flawed and need stricter regulations for real security.

I noticed a connection between my friend's computer issues and a scam they encountered. I'm considering a thorough cleanup and wondering if Malwarebytes could handle the situation effectively.

Malwerebytes had helped me before when I downloaded something I shouldn't have from a site I shouldn't have been on ;^)

I don’t understand the program well, but it seems unlikely to work against a rootkit.
