It seems you're considering a lot of expensive components for your PC build. A standard 3200MHz CL15 kit should suffice. Intel processors typically perform well at speeds around 3000-3200MHz. The Titan RTX offers only marginal gains over a 2080Ti and isn't meant for gaming. Additionally, SLI is becoming less relevant as many games no longer benefit from it or have stopped supporting it.

Consider delaying the purchase until April for both nVidia and Intel's latest models... the i9 10900K and RTX 3080 Ti seem better suited for a high-end build. Still, regarding memory specs, you can check the details here: https://www.gskill.com/specification/165...cification 3600mhz CL14 XMP profile indicates the processor is heavily optimized with very precise timing.

I was also considering that option too. The goal is to explore the top configurations for Intel and AMD, picking the best setups. I was thinking about using a 3950X with an AMD Ryzen, but now it looks like I might be able to get a 5.3 GHz i9-9900K all-core processor, which would mean my build needs some adjustments.

For gaming, a high-end 2080 Ti can surpass even a power-modded Titan RTX in terms of maximum FPS. I verify this by testing two Titan RTX units and a Kingpin 2080 Ti on my rig. In games that don’t support SLI (most titles), I notice about a 5% boost in FPS with the single Kingpin card compared to one of the power-modded Titans. The Titan’s TDP reaches around 434 watts, while the Kingpin’s BIOS is set at 520W—both are TU102 GPUs, with slightly more enabled cores on the Titan. Fortunately, newer titles still support SLI, which is why I enjoy playing Jedi Fallen Order on my HEDT setup. *EDIT* The fact that Titan RTX isn’t meant for gaming doesn’t matter much to me personally, though I agree nobody should buy it for gaming now after my experience with the Kingpin 2080 Ti. Regarding SLI, most games still run well even when enabled, and scaling usually performs adequately. Jedi Fallen Order is giving me nearly perfect scaling across both cards. Additionally, support for SLI doesn’t drop—games typically don’t lose functionality when enabled, and sometimes updates are released to make it work. SLI functionality is handled by Nvidia through dedicated profiles created specifically for each game, not by the developers themselves.
