I’m planning to upgrade my current laptop which has a Ryzen 3500U CPU. I’m working with a limited budget and can only shop from one store right now—I need to purchase several items there. My main activities will involve programming, browsing, office work, and occasionally gaming. I’ll likely play Valorant, League of Legends, and The Forest. For the CPU, I’m unsure which one to choose. Options include Intel i5-10400F (182€), Intel i5 10600K (224€), Intel i5 10600KF (231€), Ryzen 3700X (299€), or Intel i7 10700KF (350€). Programming won’t be extremely demanding, even on the 3500U, but compilation times are slow. Since this PC will stay in use for at least two to three years, I expect future projects to require more powerful CPUs and greater processing power.

10600k is the sole CPU model supporting an IGPU. For gaming, all titles work smoothly on it. Do you have any ideas about purchasing a 11th generation Intel processor? Those would let you enjoy Valorant and Rocket League at 1080p with low settings and 60fps or higher.
