I own a Quanta LB4M Network Switch currently, but I'm frustrated with the support and lack of online updates. I'm searching eBay for a replacement that's fully managed, supports 48+ ports with gigabit speeds, includes at least two 10GB ports, and can accommodate an SSD NAS with 10Gbps connectivity. I plan to add storage later and am open to increasing my budget if someone suggests a good option. I prefer something quiet since it's in an office server rack. Appreciate any help!

Top choices aren't always the most affordable or fast. A solid alternative would be the HP 2530-48G, which costs around $120 but lacks 10Gb ports. The Quanta LB4M are budget-friendly due to their simple interface, though you can upgrade them with different firmware. The LB6M also offers similar benefits if you're open to newer options.

I've checked the details of the Dell PowerConnect 2848, Netgear GS748T, and TRENDnet TEG-448WS. These are networking switches used for connecting devices and managing traffic.

Are you looking for L3? Poe? Aruba S2500 around 100 USD on eBay, it functions quite well. What are your plans for the managed section of the switch? I generally prefer not to use the Netgear interface.

I'm searching for a web-based GUI solution. The focus should be on managed switches supporting VLANs. Since 10Gb connectivity with dual ports is sufficient for speed, unmanaged operation isn't necessary. Avoid command-line controls—opt for a user-friendly web interface.

What size do you prefer? 10g base model? If you're okay with something simpler, there are many affordable switches, especially since you don’t need complex options. For 10g, I’d suggest the Dell 5548. It has a nice web interface and decent power consumption. Here’s one priced around $75: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-PowerConne...SwWCFbxJtb

I'm good with 10G speeds. Appreciate the suggestion about the Switch! I haven't seen a device with HDMI ports before.

HDMI helps combine multiple devices, allowing you to purchase additional switches of the same type. In simpler terms, it lets you control several switches together as a single unit.

I don't have a specific answer to that, but it depends on the network setup and the devices involved. Generally, the speed you experience varies based on the number of devices connected and the type of link used.

I believe the HDMI connections provide 10 gigabits per second each. Stacking two of them with two cables would yield a total of 20 gigabits between them.
